The Sky Is Blue, And All The Leaves Are Green

:note: Wilco – “Heavy Metal Drummer”

Did you know that one serving of pasta is 1/2 cup? I was making macaroni and cheese earlier and thought to myself, “Self, wouldn’t it be good of me to only eat one serving instead of the amount I normally eat?” since I am trying to be all healthy and whatnot. I went online to look at what a serving was, and yes, it is a half a cup. This is very small. I think I have been eating three times that amount normally. :o I shall try to remember this measurement for the future.

I realized a while ago that I have absolutely no content on my website, save for my journal and its archives. :sneer: I used to have tons and tons of content before I moved my whole site over to WordPress, but it all went by the wayside. Most of it was insipid, petty crap so I’m not really upset about it, but I do miss having other stuff to do on my site. I rather enjoyed the reviews/recaps of the shows I’ve been to, but I learned a while ago that nobody ever read them anyway so they were kind of pointless. I’m considering adding them back as entries, dated to the date of the show. That way they’ll still be around but they won’t be masquerading as visitor content.

I am at a loss though for what to add, since anything I can think of is already being offered by other people who probably do it better than I would anyway. I made a font once that I could offer, but I didn’t spend a ton of time doing kearning so it types weird – it’s better if you do each letter individually and manually place it where you want. It’s a display font anyway, so it shouldn’t be to difficult to do so because it’s not meant for long bits of text to begin with. I also have some dinky Flash stuff I could show you. I took down my artwork section since I had a ton of people stealing stuff from me and direct linking and whatnot, but I could put it back up if anyone is interested. Nobody will say they are, but hey, I can try. I sometimes like to pretend that people other than me care about my website. :P That said, I’m off to go play around with pages and content. Homework? What?

I miss your other content, I read it :) I liked your college experience section, and started one of my own because of it. I saw your 100 things about me and started one of those as well. On my site I finally got other content up, but still not much. I think it would be cool to see your artwork up, I put all of me and Craig’s work up so far, but the direct linking thing does suck, not sure if there is an easy solution to that.

I read your site and would enjoy additional content, even if it isnt as an actual post.

You know, I learned a long time ago that no one really visited content. I, myself, visited galleries and blogs but never really read anything but who the person was. It didn’t matter to me what kind of content they had (unless they were freebies). Maybe I’m the only one.

I would start reading content if it were good content. Not just based on the person who owned the website, but if it were in 3rd person and based on other things.

I liked the quotes – of course. I visited them periodically. And…there was something else…oh, yes…I recently wrote a list of 99 things to do before you die for a class project (GURs, sigh) and now I think everyone should write a list of 99 things to do before they die. Some you’ve done, some you haven’t, you know. It was fun to write. I think you should make one and put it up.
